Lee Gerry Wertheimer is an award winning East Asian artist from New York. She earned a her Master of Arts Degree from New York University and has been a certified art teacher for over 25 years. Her philosophy of art is "Close adherence to the simple elegance and poetic concept underlying the principles and techniques of Sumi-e painting is most important to me. I teach students to hand grind Sumi ink, have proper brush strokes, and use traditional East Asian compositional elements combined with contemporary experimental elements."
